posted by MiltonSmabyHonestly this kind of writing is why I still bother to read independent sites, and a look at stackgrid extended that broader reflection, the few sites that justify continued attention to non algorithmic content are sites like this one and finding them periodically is enough to keep my reading habits oriented toward independent rather than aggregated content.

posted by VernondetFound the writing surprisingly fresh for what is by now a well covered topic, and a stop at sorenironhide kept that freshness going across the related pages, original perspective on familiar ground is hard to come by and this site has clearly earned its place in the conversation rather than just rehashing old ideas.

posted by WarrenTogGenerally I find the content on similar topics frustrating in specific ways and this post avoided all of them, and a look at softseed continued that frustration free experience, content that sidesteps the standard failure modes of its genre is content with editorial awareness and this site has clearly studied what fails elsewhere consistently.

posted by ReneclachNow appreciating that I did not feel exhausted after reading, and a stop at partyparcel extended that energising quality, content that leaves me with more attention than it consumed is rare and the gap between draining and energising content is real over the course of a typical day spent reading widely online.

posted by BertrambangeHonestly informative, the writer covers the ground without showing off, and a look at webvault reflected the same humility, content that respects the reader rather than trying to dazzle them is something I always appreciate and rarely come across in this corner of the internet today across the topics I usually read.

posted by KelbyfliffOne of the more thoughtful posts I have read recently on this topic, and a stop at phishproof added even more weight to that impression, this is genuinely good content that holds its own against far better known sites in the same space without trying to imitate any of them at all which I appreciate.

posted by GregoryAbaloTook a few notes from this post, the points are easy to remember without needing to come back and check, and a look at shiftgrid added a couple more, the kind of place that sticks in the memory long after the browser tab has been closed for the day which says a lot really.
